The Work : Our work spans the whole of the MENA region and beyond. We work on a broad variety of matters spanning English-law governed structured transactions as well as specialist regional law advice on structured financings, derivatives activities and impact of international market reforms such as IBOR transition. Examples include:
- Advising on structured financings backed by underlying receivables and loan assets.
- Acting as counsel to regional domestic systemically important banks (D-SIBs) in response to global reforms such as EMIR, IBOR transition and recovery & resolution.
- Advising on bespoke over-the-counter derivatives transactions and structured investment transactions.
- Advising clearing houses and central securities depositories on establishment and expansion of member services.
- Supporting our Projects and Banking practices on LIBOR transition issues and hedges to the Middle East region’s most prominent projects and syndicated loan transactions.
- Advising on netting, collateral and related product structuring issues to a host of globally systemically important banks (G-SIBs) and D-SIBs.
- Issuing counsel to industry netting opinions.
- Development of new structured products for sell-side financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities : You will be given responsibility for running transactions and working closely with clients. This means that you will develop outstanding transaction management and organisational skills as well as developing superb technical abilities.
Skills & Experience : We are currently seeking a committed and ambitious structured products Lawyer (PQE 2-4).
In all cases, you should have first class legal ability coupled with a practical commercial approach; and excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills.
All candidates should be fluent in English.
You must also have exceptional results throughout your academic history.
